About The Owner
Dr. Suman Bhatnagar has established this place with a view to serve guests who are on business trips and tourists visiting Udaipur- the Venice of the East to explore its beauty.
Dr. Suman had been associated with University of Udaipur and later has worked with UNICEF INDIA for two decades.
Her interest is travelling and writing. One of her books Rajasthan on a Platter depicts about demography, bio- diversity, culture, festivals and cuisine of Rajasthan state. The book contains colorful amazing pictures of Rajasthan.
Our forefathers have played a significant role in the history of Mewar. They have been in the services of subsequent Kings or Maharanas as they are popularly referred in Mewar nomenclature. They have been part of several expeditions and have played a key role in successfully managing the administration of the state/estate. More prominent of our ancestors Mr. Bhakhtawar Singh and Mr. Hamir Singh played a crucial role in streamlining of the state’s administration and were conferred the title of ‘Sahiwala’ by the royalty and as a matter of fact right it were they who used to put their signatures on all the official documents of the state to give it a legal standing.
